How to Fix Limited Or No Connectivity Problems

You will mostly see this pop-up notification in the system tray at the bottom right corner of the computer screen. This notification appears with an exclamation mark in a yellow triangle that is present on the network connection icon in the system tray. Also, the notification text “Limited or No Connectivity” is visible in Windows XP or earlier versions of Microsoft Windows.

In Windows 7 and Windows 8, the exclamation mark within the yellow triangle is same but the notification text is “No Internet Access” and it is displayed only when the mouse pointer is hovered on to the network icon in the system tray.

Step by Step procedure:

1) Go to Device Manager

2) Go to Network adapters and expand it

3) Now from the list, choose your network adapter (Wireless Network Adapter) that is showing limited connectivity.

4) Right click on your wireless network adapter and choose Update Driver Software.

5) A new window will open, in which you are required to click on Browse my computer for driver software.

Select, Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

Check the Network Adapters, and see how many are listed. You may find two drivers here; one by Microsoft and other from the Manufacturer.

Choose the Manufacturer’s drivers and select Next.

You are advised to restart your PC and check if your problem is solved. If not, proceed with next step.
