Kishore Rana, who is an expat-Nepali living in Florida, USA, has shared an incredible video taken from his Quadcopter camera drone on his Facebook page.This footage I am going to Re-share, shows an aerial view of the massive destruction in Nepali capital Kathmandu, which was rocked by an enormous earthquake and aftershocks on Saturday, 25th April.
The United States Geological Survey reported that the magnitude 7.9 earthquake was centred around 38 KM east of Lamjung.
This quake was strong enough to be felt as far south as Delhi in India, parts of Bangladesh, China’s region of Tibet and Pakistan. Serious damage was reported in Kathmandu, including the historic Durbar Square. This was the Nepal’s deadliest disaster in more than 80 years, whose death toll could reach 10,000.

The above footage uncovers the degree of devastation brought about by the gigantic quake to human lives and other framework as well as to heritage locations including Patan Durbar Square Baktapur and Khatmandu Darbar Square and many others, some of which were on the list of UNESCO World Heritage. 3 days after the catastrophe, rescue workers were still attempting to navigate landslides and reach distant mountain villages, where aid groups suggested the damage could be worst.

The communication networks, internet, telephones, television, water, electricity and power, everything is down. Almost 1.5 million children still need urgent help. Many others are missing and rescue workers are desperately searching for survivors who may be buried under quake rubble. 21 mountaineer were also killed while climbing the Mt. Everest at the time of earthquake.
