The old traditional annex of the former Wellington Hotel in Albany, NY was imploded. Plenty of pyrotechnics were used to demolish this 11-storey, 100 years old building and around 1,000 onlookers watched it live. It was lit up with fireworks before dynamite reduced the building to a cloud of dust, to make way for $66.5 million convention center. This colorful demolition of Hotel Wellington was a fun to see experience.
