War Criminal Slobodan Praljak Dies After Drinking ‘Poison’ In Court


After the verdict Praljak drank the deadly poison before the UN court. The Bosnian-Croatian ex-military General Slobodan Praljak († 72) convicted of war crimes has died from the poison cyanide. Praljak died of heart failure, triggered by cyanide, as the Dutch prosecutor announced on Friday evening. This is the preliminary result of the toxicological examination by the medical examiner. Praljak was awarded 20-year sentence for crimes during the 1992-95 Bosnian war.
